Α total of up to ten (10) scholarships will be awarded to PhD candidates, with the aim of supporting early-stage researchers.
The scholarships are allocated as follows:
- Up to five (5) PhD candidates from Greek Institutions (conference registration fee waiver)
- Up to five (5) PhD candidates from low, low-middle and high-middle income countries (conference registration fee waiver and free accommodation during the conference in the students’ residences)
Selection criteria:
- Evaluation score of the extended abstract
- A maximum of one (1) PhD candidate from each academic department may receive a scholarship.
This initiative shows the conference’s commitment to international, inclusive academic collaboration in a relevant research area, as reflected in the strong response to the call for papers, especially on resilience, sustainability, and transformation in tourism.
Application Procedure: Eligible PhD candidates are required to:
- Submit their extended abstract via the official conference platform by 20th June 2026.
- Send an email to the Organizing Committee at ictf2026@hmu.gr with the subject line: “PhD Scholarship Application – [Full Name]”.
- The email must include a formal Proof of Enrollment (or a valid PhD Student ID) confirming their current doctoral status and academic department.
The Organizing Committee will grant the scholarships based on the final peer-review scores, ensuring a maximum of one (1) award per academic department.
