3. Sustainability Research in the Mediterranean – River Publishers (20 Full Papers)

Conference participants will also have the opportunity to submit their full papers for consideration for publication in Sustainability Research in the Mediterranean, published by River Publishers.

A total of 20 publication slots will be available for selected high-quality papers presented at ICTF 2026. The selected papers will be eligible for a full publication fee waiver, subject to evaluation and approval. Priority will be given to high-quality contributions aligned with the journal’s scope, particularly in areas such as sustainable tourism, coastal and island resilience, climate adaptation, sustainable development, circular economy, ESG, cultural heritage, and related sustainability challenges.

Following the conference, selected authors will be invited to develop their presented work into a full manuscript. All submissions will follow the journal’s standard editorial assessment and peer-review procedures, and selection or invitation does not guarantee acceptance for publication.

4. Elgar Encyclopedia of Island and Coastal Tourism

As part of the conference, the preparation of a companion encyclopedia published by Edward Elgar has been initiated. Each participant may contribute one or two entries to the encyclopedia. Each entry will be indexed as an individual publication in SCOPUS. An entry should be 1,000–3,000 words in length and focus on the analysis of a specific concept, following the dictionary–encyclopedia format—that is, concise, analytical, and reference-oriented.

Overall, the encyclopedia offers participants an excellent opportunity to gain multiple publications from their involvement in the conference.
